The goaltender for St. Paul Karen Nation stops a shot during a shootout in the women’s championship game of the Paw Say 2017 Third Annual Fourth of July Karen Soccer Tournament on Monday at Pepsi Fields Soccer Complex. Karen Nation won the shootout to defeat St. Paul Kwe Ka Baw for the title.

Next, players from Rising Youth of Ft. Wayne, Ind., (blue)  and Peace of Aberdeen battle for the ball in the men’s championship game Monday. Young Stars of St. Paul, Minn., defeated KNG of Aberdeen for third place in the 43-team tournament. Louisville (Kent.) defeated Huron in the championship game of the girls’ volleyball tournament, which was held in conjunction with the soccer tournaments.
