Chargers advance to Class A tourney

HURON — Ellie Voss had sixteen kills, while Samantha Kykistra and Emily Stasser each had seven ace serves as the top-seeded Sioux Falls Christian Chargers took down the Mobridge-Pollock Lady Tigers 3-0 in a Class “A” Sweet 16 game Tuesday at Huron Arena.
Set scores for the Chargers, now 28-4 and the top seed at next week’s State “A” Tournament in Rapid City, were 25-7, 25-6 and 25-11.
Kelsi Heard handed out 31 set assists in the game for SFC, while Kyle Van Egdom led the defense with seven digs.

Kaycee Redmond led the Lady Tigers with four kills, while Aleandria Stager had six set assists.
The Class “A” State Volleyball Tournament begins Nov. 16 in Rapid City.
