HURON — Charles D. Price, 81, of Huron, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family Friday, May 10, 2019, at his home.
His Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m., Friday, May 17, at Holy Trinity Catholic Parish with burial in Restlawn Memory Gardens Cemetery. Visitation with the family present will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Welter Funeral Home with a scripture prayer service beginning at 6:30 p.m.; or visitation one hour prior to the funeral mass on Friday at the church.
Charles Douglas Price was born February 28, 1938, in Redfield to Robert and Rose (Ryan) Price. He graduated from the Hitchcock High school in 1956. He was united in marriage to Joyce Bonebrake June 28, 1962 at St. Martins Catholic Church in Huron. In marriage, God provided them with three daughters, Barbara, Charlene, and Jane.
Charles was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Parish where he enjoyed ushering and visiting with everyone. Charles drove a truck for many years and after retirement from trucking, he worked part time for the Huron school lunch program. Happy go lucky Charlie always could make you smile with the words “Amen Brother.”
Charles is survived by his wife of over 56 years, Joyce of Huron; his daughters, Barbara (Jeff) Lund, Charlene (Dan) Hilkemeier, and Jane Ondricek (Jeff Brown); one brother, Denny (JoAnne) Price; many grandchildren; great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
Charles was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Leon and Richard Price; sister, Lorraine; son-in-law, Ricky Ondricek; and grandson, Kyle Wilkins.
