It is the time of the season for frightfully fun activities such as peering around the hallway corners of a haunted house. This year, Boy Scout Troop 222 built some creepy attractions with owners of the Haunted House Association, Jessica Wagner and Logan Johnson, for the public to enjoy some local Halloween festivities. The haunted house this year is in memory of Isaac Machtemes who passed away in October of 2018, as the troop leads a vision of raising awareness of teen suicide and working toward prevention. Proceeds will go to troop functions and a dedication to Machtemes. Four Nights of Fright opens to the public from 7 to 11 p.m. tonight and Saturday, at 53 3rd Street Southwest (the former Countryside Dental location, the less gory shows for younger Halloween enthusiasts will run from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday. The haunted house will also be in full swing on Halloween night, from 7 to 11 p.m. Thursday. Anyone who brings a canned food item for the local food pantry will receive a $2 discount on admission fees.
