CLARK — Clara Heer, 101, of Clark, formerly of the Doland area, passed away Sunday, February 3, 2019, at the Wookey Assisted Living Center in Clark.
A Funeral Mass will be 11 a.m., Saturday, February 9, at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Clark. Burial will be in the St. Boniface Cemetery at Clark in the spring.Visitation be two hours prior to the Mass.
Clara was born November 9, 1917, near Doland to Albinus “Ollie” and Mary Sophia (Wehland) Heer. She attended Heer School Southeast of Doland. She always worked on the farm alongside other family members and most recently with her brother, Francis. She was proud of the fact that she was still hauling bales at over age 95! She and a side-kick, Joyce Seaver, put several miles on Joyce’s car between Raymond and Clark.
She is survived by her siblings, Francis of Doland, and Teresa Bau of Frankfort; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her siblings, Cecelia Terpstra, John Heer, Mary Lucy Stahl, Alice Heer, Agnes Gereaux, Anna Mary Heer and infant sisters, Anastasia and Lucy.
