FAULKTONā€ˆ— Clara K. Smith, 105, of Faulkton, passed away Thursday, February 1, 2018, at the Faulkton Senior Living.
Funeral service will be 1 p.m., Thursday, February 8, at the United Church of Faulkton. Burial will follow in the Faulkton Cemetery. Visitation will be 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Luce Funeral Home, Faulkton.
Clara K. Kuhl was born November 19, 1912, southwest of Faulkton to Otto and Clara (Daniels) Kuhl. She attended Kuhl rural school.
She was united in marriage to Harry Smith October 10, 1934, and together they lived on a farm south of Burkmere. In 1961, they moved into Faulkton where she worked at the Coast to Coast store and later as a nurse’s aide at the Faulkton Hospital.
She was a member of the United Church of Faulkton and the VFW Auxiliary Post #3179. Fishing was one of her favorite hobbies. She also enjoyed time playing cards and gardening.
She is survived by her children, Lloyd (Phyllis) Smith of Hartford, Duane (Judith) Smith of Hermosa, and Joann (Dean) Robideau of Mitchell; 12 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and 13 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry; siblings, Maude Thorn, Harriet Myers, Marion Bowar, Myrtle Bauhs, Fred and Harold Kuhl; and one great-grandson, Cody Smith.
Luce Funeral Home of Faulkton has been entrusted with Clara’s arrangements.
