SALEM — The Class AA girls and the Class A boys were the overall winners during the 3-Class Shootout held Saturday.
Huron’s Isabelle Ellwein had 20 points to help the Class AA girls rally for an 88-87 victory against Class A in the opening game.
Ellwein had six of the team’s 15 3-pointers in the game.
Also reaching double figures for Class AA were Jaida Young of Watertown with 13 and Cierra Watkins of Sioux Falls Jefferson and Hannah Harpe of Sioux Falls Washington with 11 points each.
Reese Ross of St. Thomas More led the Class A team with a game-high 21 points. She also had team highs with 12 rebounds, five assists and two steals.
Kami Wadsworth of Hamlin had 18 points for Class A, while Landree Wilso of Sioux Valley added 10 points.
Class AA then cruised to a 97-71 victory against Class B.
Hilary Behrens of Brandon Valley had 23 points to lead six players in double figures for Class AA.
Watkins had 14 points, while Remington Price of Pierre had 13 points. Young, Macey Wathen of Rapid City Stevens and Mariah Siem of Sioux Falls Lincoln each had 11 points.
Mallory Miller of Wolsey-Wessington had 22 points to lead the Class B team. Leah Williams of Wolsey-Wessington had 13 points, while Jada Burke of De Smet added 10 points.
Behrens was named the MVP for Class AA, while Ross earned the honor for Class A and Miller earned the honor in Class B.

Boys
Isaac Bruns of Dakota Valley finished with 32 points to lead Class A to a 111-105 win against Class AA in the opening boys’ game.
Also reaching double figures for Class A were Randy Rosenquist of Dakota Valley with 19 points and Caleb Hollenbeck of St. Thomas More with 15 points.
Matt Eng of O’Gorman had 26 points to lead Class AA, while Taylen Ashley of Sioux Falls Jefferson had 19 points. Jackson Edman of Pierre and Kaden Year of Sioux Falls Jefferson each had 10 points.
Using six players in double figures, Class A inked a 129-111 win against Class B in the final boys’ game.
Ethan Cheeseman of Hanson had 29 points to lead Class A, while Oliver Vincent of Sioux Valley had 25 points. Isaac Bruns had 19 points, followed by Hollenbeck with 13, Damon Opdahl of Waubay-Summit with 12 and Ethan Bruns of Sioux Falls Christian with 11.
Joe Sayler of White River had a game-high 37 points for Class B. Sutton Arend of Bridgewater-Emery, Malek Wieker of Aberdeen Christian and Ethan Russell of Aberdeen Christian all had 12 points, while Damon Wilkinson of De Smet added 10 points.
Isaac Bruns was named the MVP for Class A, while Eng earned the honor in AA and Sayler was the MVP in Class B.
Year won the boys’ dunk contest.
