WESSINGTON SPRINGS — Clinton I. Bender, 65, of Wessington Springs, passed away Saturday, February 22, 2020, at the Avera McKennen Hospital in Sioux Falls.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Wessington Springs. Burial will be in Prospect Hill Cemetery.
Visitation will be held Tuesday from 5 to 7 at the Basham Funeral Home, with a prayer service at 7 p.m.
Clinton Ivan Bender was born August 12, 1954, in Wessington Springs to Ivan and Shirley (Schroeder) Bender.
He enlisted in the Army in July of 1973 being stationed in Germany. He was discharged in May of 1974.
He is survived by his mother, Shirley Bender; and a brother, David (Janice) Bender; two nieces, Jamie (Jeff) Wolter-Assman; Jennifer (Ryan) Thompson; one nephew, Jared (Bridget) Bender.
He was preceded in death by his father, Ivan; his grandparents; and a nephew-in-law, Kyle Wolter.
