Cordula 'Cordy' Scheibe, 99, of Huron

 HURON — Cordula R. “Cordy” Scheibe, 99, of Huron and formerly of Wolsey, passed away Sunday, September 16, 2018, at SunQuest Healthcare Center.
Her funeral service will be 10:30 a.m., Thursday, September 20, at the St John’s Lutheran Church in Wolsey, with burial in the St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery. Visitation will be 9 a.m. Thursday until the time of service at the church.
Cordula Ruth “Cordy” Kohlmeyer was born May 16, 1919, in Wolsey to August and Clara (Cloeter) Kohlmeyer. She attended school at St. John’s Lutheran School and graduated from Wolsey High School. She was united in marriage to Raymond Otto Scheibe December 28, 1941. The couple moved to a farm north of Wolsey where they lived until 1982. She was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Wolsey.
She is survived by her daughters, Julie (Edward) Whelan of Eden Prairie, Minn., and Sue Lynn (Kim) Muntefering of Mitchell; daughter-in-law, Bernice Scheibe of Huron; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ray; son, Keith Scheibe; granddaughter, Leah Raye Scheibe; and two sisters and one brother.
