Students in 9th grade science at James Valley Christian School launched homemade rockets recently. Students worked in groups to turn 2-liter plastic bottles into rockets, and results of the launching were as varied as the construction and designs of the rockets. Some rockets soared to estimated heights of nearly 150 feet and others sputtered off the launch pad. There to help launch the rockets were clients and staff from the Center for Independence.
