Cowboy Church roping clinic set

Posted

HURON — The Double Bar J Cowboy Church in Huron will be hosting its second annual Team Roping Clinic April 26-28 at the Beef Complex on the south Dakota State Fairgrounds.
Eight-time World Champion Team Roper and Cowboy Hall of Fame member Speed Williams will be the Clinician again this year. Williams and his team roping partner, Rich Skelton, rattled off an incredible string of titles from 1997 to 2004. Now Williams uses his talents to teach those that have a real desire to rope.

The Double Bar J Cowboy Church extends an invitation to 12 headers and six heelers. This will be a great opportunity for the young people that compete in the High School Rodeo or Junior High Rodeo and 4-H Rodeo to come and learn from one of rodeo’s best.
They will be using roping dummies provided by HotHeels from Iowa City, Iowa. This year Williams will be bringing his new roping tool developed by Priefert for him. This new tool is a model horse that can be adjusted to fit you as the rider and teach you as a roper. To learn more go to Speedrope.com
People are invited to come out and support the Double Bar J Cowboy Church concessions that will be available at the clinic. The Cowboy Church will use these funds to help support different event ministries for 2019.
