Curnow completes healthy eating training
HURON — Ashley Curnow of Carr Chiropractic and Intentional Living Health and Wellness Center recently completed the Institute of Functional Medicine’s three-day cardiometabolic module.
Curnow said the knowledge she gained in the cardiometabolic module to what she had previously learned in the detoxification, bioenergetics and certification program she completed.
She believes that the training allows her a deeper understanding for addressing and treating both complex and common cardiometabolic conditions, like diabetes, high cholesterol, high blood pressure and more.
Curnow attended sessions focusing on how individuals can tailor and adjust their lifestyles to improve their current cardiovascular health or protect them from future complications.
Genetics can play a large role in the likelihood of developing chronic health conditions. By learning the role genes play in cardiovascular health, Curnow can help patients implement a treatment plan.
