MINNEAPOLIS — Dakota Provisions was part of a group of partners working with NorthPoint Health and Wellness Center in north Minneapolis that distributed free food to those in need on Saturday.
Dakota Provisions provided 16,000 pounds of meat for the food giveaway, which also provided those in need with nonperishable items ahead of the Thanksgiving holiday as food needs have increased across the country.
Remarks from the NorthPoint Health and Wellness Center Facebook page note that over 20,000 pounds of food was distributed before noon on Saturday. The center operates a food shelf that is open daily.
