SIOUX FALLS — Deanna Kooyman, 78, of Sioux Falls and formerly of Huron, passed away Sunday, January 27, 2019, at Ava’s House in Sioux Falls.
Her memorial service will be 11 a.m., Saturday, April 20 at First United Methodist Church in Huron with burial in the Restlawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
Deanna Erickson was born January 1, 1941, in Huron to Phillip and Doris (Flood) Erickson. She graduated from Huron High School in 1958. She graduated from Stewart’s School of Hairstyling in 1960, and from Northwest College of Commerce in 1974.
She was united in marriage to Harold Kooyman in 1961. She held a variety of positions in Huron. She was a member of First United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her sons, Greg Kooyman of Spring Valley, Calif., Robert Kooyman of Springdale, Ark., Steven (Joanne) Kooyman of Chandler, Ariz., and Clark (Melissa Felvus) Kooyman of Sioux Falls; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; sisters, Marilyn (Roger) Bauer of Billings, Mont., and Shelley (J.D.) Noonan of Huron.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and siblings, Richard Erickson, and Marsha DeVries.
