HIGHMORE — Delores Brown, 87, of Highmore, passed away Saturday July 8, 2017, at Highmore Health in Highmore.
Funeral Mass will be 10:30 a.m., Friday, July 14, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Highmore. Burial will be in St. John Cemetery at Harrold. Visitation will begin at 6 p.m. Thursday followed by a 7 p.m. rosary service all at the church.
Delores Elaine Brown was born February 12, 1930, in rural Sully County to Adelia (Boger) and Joel Lettau. She graduated from Harrold High School in 1948, and attended Black Hills State University and Northern State University receiving her teaching degree. She taught at several rural schools in Sully County, including Norfolk School.
She was united in marriage to Archie Brown November 13, 1954, in Harrold.
She is survived by her children, Phil Brown of St. Cloud, Minn., and Linda (Darrell) Hoesing of Fordyce, Neb.; grandchildren, Andrea (Braden) Junker of Sioux Falls, Bethany Broderson of Yankton, and Colin Hoesing of Fordyce, Neb.; four great-grandchildren; and brother, Harlan Lettau.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Archie Brown; and her brothers, Alvin and Howard.
Luze Funeral Home of Highmore has been entrusted with Delores arrangements.
