DE SMET — Donna Muser, 86, of De Smet, passed away Friday, April 27, 2018, at Dougherty Hospice House in Sioux Falls.
A funeral service is scheduled for 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, May 2, at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Bryant. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery at Bryant.  Visitation hours are 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Osthus Funeral Home in De Smet.
Donna Carlson was born September 9, 1931, at Bryant to Axel Henry and Ina (Schamens) Carlson. She graduated from Bryant High School in 1949. She was united in marriage to Lyle Muser September 18, 1949.
The couple farmed and were activie in the Erwin community for many years. She was a member of the Clark Lutheran Church, the Erwin Community Club and was an active 4H leader and Golden Glow in Erwin. In 2006, the couple moved to De Smet. She worked for 35 years at several retail businesses in De Smet, including the Café at the sale barn, Ben Franklin and Harvey’s Jack and Jill until her retirement.  
She is survived by her daughters, Kathy Lubinus of Platte, Marlene (Randy) Knutson of Miller, and Susan (Ken) Dolph of Christiansburg, Va.; daughter-in-law, Juanita Muser of De Smet; 13 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lyle; son, William; and son-in-law, Rick Lubinus.
