WILLOW LAKE — Donna I. Pommer, 88, of Willow Lake, passed away Monday, July 22, 2019, in the Good Samaritan Center at De Smet.
Funeral Mass will be 10:30 a.m., Monday, July 29, in the St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church at De Smet. Burial will follow in the St. James Cemetery at Willow Lake. Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday with a Liturgical Wake Service beginning at 6 p.m., all in the Furness Funeral Home Chapel at Clark.
Donna Isabelle McGlone was born January 30, 1931, near Brookings to Anthony “Tony” and Grace (Phillips) McGlone. She received her teaching certificate and taught kindergarten at Willow Lake for 30 years. She was united in marriage to Ervin Pommer August 15, 1953.
She is survived by her children, Jeannette Brannan of Raymond, Jerry Pommer of Sioux Falls, Don Pommer of Willow Lake, Mike Pommer of Stillwater, Minn., Jim Pommer of De Smet, and Julie Ramey of Yankton; 24 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; siblings, Shelia Wilson of Stanwood Wash., and Jim McGlone.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ervin; daughter, Patty Pulscher; and two siblings.
