FAULKTON — Doris Myers, 88, of Faulkton, passed away Thursday, April 27, 2017, at the Faulkton Senior Living.
Funeral Mass will be 10:30 a.m., Friday, June 2, at St. Thomas the Apostle Church in Faulkton. Burial will follow in the St. Thomas Catholic Cemetery. A wake service will be at 7 p.m., Thursday at the church.
Doris Josephine Frasier was born June 25, 1928, in rural Orient to Huston and Marie (Lenhoff) Frasier. She was united in marriage to Frederick John “Fritz” Myers June 26, 1946. They made their home on his parents farm.
The couple also owned and operated Fred Myers Trucking. She was employed by Faulkton Rexall Drug and the Head Start Program. She was a member of St. Thomas Catholic Church, helped with 4-H, and volunteered at Abundantly Blessed.
She is survived by her children, David of Belle Fourche, Ronald (Linda) of Mobridge, Thomas (Mary) of Spearfish, Connie (Mark) Selting of Kadoka, Richard (Kim), and George (Julie) both of Belle Fourche; 16 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; siblings, Margaret Gottwald, Kathryn Tiensvold, Bob Frasier and Lyle Frasier; plus family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband; siblings, Melvin, James, Duane, Arnold, Jerald, Rosella Hirchert, and Mavis Gottwald.
