Drug Take Back Day is Oct. 28

HURON — National Prescription Drug Take Back Day is set for Oct. 28, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., at sites across the United States.
Take Back Day in Huron will also be observed that Saturday, with the Huron Police Department accepting unused prescription drugs at the east entrance of Huron’s City Hall, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The day is set up to offer free an anonymous disposal of unneeded medications at locations nationwide.
Collection sites cannot accept needles, syringes or any illicit drugs. Any liquid products, such as cough syrup, should be sealed in its original container to prevent leakage. If you have prescription meds to be turned in, but cannot make it in during the outlined hours, a dropbox is available 24/7 just inside the east entrance of City Hall.
