FAULKTONā€ˆ— Duane White, 87, of Faulkton, formerly of Cresbard, passed away Sunday, September 3, 2017, at Faulkton Senior Living.
Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m., Friday, September 8, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Wecota. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. A prayer service will be 5 p.m. Thursday at Luce Funeral Home in Faulkton, with family present from 5 to 7 p.m.
Duane Arthur White was born November 19, 1929, near Norbeck to Elmer and Anna (Holscher) White. He graduated from Cresbard High School in 1947. He was united in marriage to Maxine Bierman June 17, 1950.
In his early days, Duane farmed in Chelsea and Wecota. He then worked for the Farmers Elevator in Wecota and later, the Cresbard Elevator. Due to health reasons, he retired in 1979. He was an active member of Immanuel Lutheran Church.
He is survived by his wife; children, Sherry (Earl) Fix of Faulkton; Kim (Bonnie) White of Meridian, Miss.; six grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; brothers, Raymond (Jan) White of Winchester, Va., and Marvin (Donna) White of Rapid City.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Marsha; sister, Gladys Hunt; grandson-in-law, Vernon Ritchey; and nephew, Robert Hunt.
Luce Funeral Home of Faulkton has been entrusted with Duane’s arrangements.
