REDFIELD — Earl A. Schultz, 98, of Redfield, passed away Thursday, May 17, 2018, at the Eastern Star Home in Redfield.
His funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday at the First Congregational United Church in Redfield, with Reverend Tammy Toepke-Floyd officiating. A private family burial will take place at St. John’s Cemetery, rural Tulare. Visitation will be Monday, from 3 to 4 p.m., at the Eastern Star Chapel and will continue, from 5 to 7 p.m., at Hyke Funeral Home in Redfield. Family will be present during this time to accept condolences.
Earl August Schultz was born March 23, 1920, in Buffalo Township to Fred and Lydia (Humburg) Schultz.
He married Arlene Larson on June 24, 1948, at St. John’s Church near Tulare.  
He is survived by his daughters, Mary Ann (Greg) Wilson of Aberdeen, Sandra (Randy) Olson of Lake Preston, Connie (Robert) Tiff of Redfield, and Julie (Jim) Becker of Rockham;  eight grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; as well as many nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his wife; his great-granddaughter, Lexy Becker; brother, Kenneth (Eloise) Schultz; and sister, Maryrose (Eugene) Avery.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Hyke Funeral Home of Redfield.
