Eclipse party held at Library

HURON — Monday morning was highly anticipated for many Huron residents hoping to observe the total eclipse.
The Huron Public Library hosted an eclipse party, where the first 200 people to arrive received a pair of eclipse glasses and the chance to enter a prize drawing for gifts donated from Dakotaland. Hot dogs were served in the Lester Jones Room and eclipse news was playing throughout the Library.
The weather was cloudy and rainy in the Huron area on Monday morning during the time of the eclipse, so keen observers stayed to watch the eclipse on TV as it passed  over the United States.
