HURON — Edward W. K. Peskey, Jr., 81, of Huron, passed away Monday, May 7, 2018, at the Violet Tschetter Memorial Home.
His funeral service will be 1 p.m., Friday, May, 11, at Welter Funeral Home with military honors by the Huron Veteran’s Council. Visitation with the family present, will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Welter Funeral Home. A burial of his cremains will be at a later date.
Edward W.K. Peskey, Jr., was born August 29, 1936, to Edward and Evelyn (Moeding) Peskey, Sr. He graduated from Huron High School in 1954. He joined the Army in 1961, and served his country for five years until his honorable discharge in 1966.
He was united in marriage to Margie Jean Sargent December 9, 1962. He worked for Bartholow’s Construction, and then Hurd Alignment for over 30 years. After retirement, he purchased a septic truck and worked with Owen Loma.
He was a proud member of the American Legion and the NRA. He enjoyed gardening, guns, and spending time with his family, especially his granddaughter and great-granddaughters.
He is survived by his daughter, Lynne Peskey of Huron; grand-daughter, Chesney Peskey of Huron; two great-granddaughters, Rosalee and Aubree Peskey of Huron; and siblings, Richard Peskey and Nila Ondricek, both of Huron.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Margie; siblings, Donald Peskey and Cindy Waldner; and niece Jami Waldner.
