Eighth-grade boys sweep Brookings

HURON — The Huron eighth-grade boys’ basketball swept Brookings in three games on Thursday.

Kolby Hofer had 14 points, five rebounds and eight steals to lead the Tigers to a 32-12 win in the A-game.

Jonathan Peterson had five points, eight rebounds and three steals, while Logan Leyendecker had four points, two rebounds and three steals.

Huron emerged with a 31-21 victory in the B-game.

Colton McNeil paced the Tigers with 16 points, five rebounds and three steals, while Vinny Bales had eight points and five rebounds, and Carter Boetel had three points and four rebounds.

Huron inked a 31-17 victory in the C-game.

Ta Ha Saw had 12 points, five rebounds and two steals for the Tigers. Moo Gay had nine points, four rebounds and four steals, while Tanner Gilbert had eight points and three rebounds.

The Huron eighth-graders will host Pierre today at 10 a.m.
