WOONSOCKET —  Eleanor Unterbrunner, 97, of  Woonsocket, formerly of Carthage, passed away  Sunday, June 25, 2017, at the Prairie View Care Center in Woonsocket.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m., Friday, June 30,  at St. Wilfred’s Catholic Church in Woonsocket. Visitation will start Thursday with a Rosary at 4:30 p.m., and will resume from 5 to 7 p.m. with a Scripture service at 7 p.m., all at St. Wilfred’s Catholic Church in Woonsocket.
Eleanor Unterbrunner was born December 26, 1919, north of Artesian to Joe and Mary (Maddock) Grassel. She attained a State teaching certificate and taught school in Miller and Woonsocket. She was united in marriage to Robert Unterbrunner in 1948, at Artesian and became a farm wife. She was a member of the St. Charles Catholic Church in Artesian and the Altar Society.
She is survived by her children, Dianne Larson of Pierre, Craig of Platte, Lynn of Yorkville, Ill., Charles of Artesian, Marla Feistner of Woonsocket, Mona Hall of Ree Heights, Elizabeth Sanderson of Mina Lake, Bruce of Abrams, Wisc., Judy Cuka of Wagner, Bonnie Murtha of Brandon, and Scott of Colman; 43 grandchildren, 53 great-grandchildren, and siblings, Raeburn Moore, and John Grassel both of Mitchell.
She was preceded in death by her husband, an infant son, and her son, Rex; a great-granddaughter; a step-grandson; and five siblings.
