CASPER, Wyo. — Elizabeth “Betty” Eddy, 86, of Casper, Wyo., passed away Sunday, October 22, 2017, in Casper.
Her funeral service will be 10:30 a.m., Saturday October 28, at 10:30 a.m. at the Basham Funeral Home in Wessington Springs. Interment will be in Prospect Hill Cemetery at Wessington Springs. Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Betty was born March 22, 1931, at Crow Lake to Joseph and Louise (Pettrle) Sefrna.
She was united in marriage to Bernard “Bud” M. Eddy September 9, 1953. She was a school teacher for 45 years and taught in Central South Dakota and Northeastern Wyoming.
She is survived by her children, Bernadene (Gary) Privet of Caledonia, Minn., Nedra (Bruce) Strouf of Albert Lea, Minn., Lana Muller (Francis Stimpson) of Thermopolis, Wyo., Mark Eddy, (Stephanie Keeney) of Casper, Wyo.; eleven grandchildren; twenty great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Shirley Sefrna, and Gwen Sefrna; step-children, Gordon (Brit) Eddy, and Bruce (Sandy) Eddy; faithful friend, Molly (Betty’s black cat); numerous nieces; nephews; and many friends and students.
She is preceded in death by siblings, Ray Sefrna, Robert Sefrna, Josephine Aikins, and Rose Luckett; brothers-in-law, Leroy Aikins,  Jim Luckett, Ellsworth (Red ) Vestensel; sister-in-law, Lotus Vestensel; two nephews; and two nieces.
