A chase that began with a suspected shoplifter traversed central Beadle County and eventually came to an end in the ditch of Highway 14 between Wolsey and Huron. Speeds exceeded 100 mph in the chase and law enforcement deployed spike strips, forcing the vehicle into the ditch. One person was transported to Huron Regional Medical Center via the Wolsey Ambulance Service. No further details were available before the Plainsman went to press.
