REDFIELD — Ethelene Marie (Geuke) Fliehe, 93, of Redfield, passed away Sunday, January 6, 2019, at the Eastern Star Home in Redfield.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m., Friday, January 11, at St. Bernard Catholic Church in Redfield. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. at the Eastern Star Chapel, and from 4 to 5:30 p.m, at Hyke Funeral Home in Redfield. A Prayer Service and Rosary will begin at 5:30 p.m. Visitation will continue one hour prior to the funeral service.
Ethelene Marie Geuke was born December 12, 1925, north of Zell to Albert and Violet (Boyd) Geuke. She graduated from Redfield High School in 1943, and received a teaching degree from NSU in Aberdeen. She was united in marriage to Willard Fliehe June 28, 1944. They made their home on a farm west of Tulare. She was a member of St. Bernard Catholic Church and the Altar Society.
She is survived by her children, Gordon (Nedra) Fliehe of Logan, Iowa, and Gloria Atteberry of Loveland, Colo.; four grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; brother, Gordon (Betty) Geuke; as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by an infant son Dennis; her husband; and brother, Carrol (Marjorie) Geuke.
