HURON — Evelyn Brodkorb, 79, of Huron, passed away Wednesday, April 4, 2018, at the Huron Regional Medical Center, with her family by her side. 
Her funeral service will be 2 p.m., Saturday, April 7, at the Riverview United Methodist Church. Burial will be in the Restlawn Memory Gardens Cemetery. Visitation is today from 1 to 7 p.m. at the Kuhler Funeral Home with her family present from 5 to 7 p.m.
Evelyn Leota Anderson was born August 9, 1938, at Redfield to Fred and Rose Anderson. She graduated from Huron High School in 1957. She then started her career at F & M Bank, where she worked for 29 years. Evie also had a second career in real estate.
On June 26, 1960, Evie married Harold Brodkorb. They made their home in Huron. They enjoyed traveling together and spending the past 20 winters in Arizona. They cherished family campouts. Evie was creative and it showed in her sewing, baking, gardening and canning the harvest. She also liked reading, playing cards, dancing, snowmobiling and bowling. Evie’s love for her family was immense and she enjoyed playing pranks on her children.
Evie was a member of the Huron Lions and Lioness clubs.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and four brothers, John Anderson, Frank “Bud” Anderson, Fred Anderson, and an infant brother.
Grateful for having shared in her life are her husband of 57 years, Harold; their three daughters, Cheryl Garlock, Becky and Tommy Ruhl, and Lana Brodkorb; and their trophy son, Todd and Wilma Brodkorb. 
Grandma Evie will be missed by her grandchildren, Dean Brodkorb, Amanda Garlock, Carey and Theo Adamson, Bailey Brodkorb and Stephanie Cortright; as well as several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Her fur babies, Penny and Cali will also miss her.
