Family Night returning to Campbell Park

HURON — The Thursday Family Night at Campbell Park will begin its 2017 season at 6:30 p.m. June 15. A flag ceremony will kick off the night at 6:30 p.m., followed by The City Band performing from 7 to 8 p.m. The City Band is under the direction of Dr. Frank Palaria. Brats and Burgers will be provided and served in honor of the Veterans by the Huron ELKS 444. The public is invited.
On June 22, Kara Pugsley will take the stage at 7 p.m. followed by The City Band at 8 p.m. Ending the month of June Minnesota natives Curtis and Loretta will be performing beginning at 7 to 8 p.m. and are being sponsored by the Huron Park and Recreations and MO-FCU. At 8 p.m. The City Band will follow.
Leading off the month of July will be children’s entertainer Phil Baker on July 6, beginning at 7 to 8 p.m., sponsored by Huron Park and Recreation and Dakotaland FCU. The City Band will follow beginning at 8 p.m.
July 13 at 7 p.m., Jodi Jensen will perform followed by The City Band at 8 p.m.
Then on July 20 at 7 p.m. a drama skit will be performed on “Bullying” by the Kawiwi youth group from Assembly of God Church, followed by Leo Jensen at 7:15 p.m.; then at 8 p.m. The City Band will perform.

On July 27 a newcomer to the Thursday program, Bruce Neubert and the Lightening Creek Band, from Rapid City will take the stage at 7 p.m. and is sponsored by the Huron Park and Recreation and The Sertoma club. The City Band will perform at 8 p.m.
Next up on August 3, another new act this year is a Multi-Cultural group, which will perform beginning at 7 p.m., followed by The City Band at 8 p.m., this will be the last night of the band’s performances for the season.
On August 10 we welcome back the praise team from Mt. Olivet Church, from 7 to 8 p.m.
Ending the summer program will be the annual Pie in the Park sponsored by Fair City Sertoma, The Huron Daily Plainsmen, Wells Fargo Bank, American Bank and Trust.
Brian Bergaleen and his group will be the night’s entertainment beginning at 7 p.m.
Concessions will be provided by the Huron Baptized youth group “The Kingdom Seekers.”
