Feasting to raise funds

HURON — The Alpha Y Omega church set up cooking  stations and tables at Campbell Park Saturday morning to raise funds for the former Open Bible Church site, which they purchased at the beginning of the year.
To eat there was papusa, which is homemade tortilla with pork, beans and cheese, also available was grilled steak and chicken, fresh fruit smoothies, and tacos.
“We have been doing the fundraisers for three or four years; people really like it so we try to do it twice a year,” church member for three years Naomi Alvarado said. “Everything is wonderful, there is nothing I would not recommend.
