The backpack program is a supplemental weekend food program, sponsored in part by the United Way Heartland Region, for children in Huron, Wolsey-Wessington, Iroquois and Headstart.
Last Wednesday, volunteers formed assembly lines to pack the bags this week. Each Wednesday afternoon at 2:45, volunteers meet at the Tiger Activity Center and more volunteers are always welcome.
