ROCHESTER, Minn. — Frederick Ernest Stevens, 59, of Rochester, Minn.,  passed away Tuesday, October 30, 2018, in Rochester, Minn. after battling diabetes.
Frederick Ernest Stevens was born June 15, 1959, in Wiesbaden, Germany to Harold and Ruth (Meyer) Stevens. His father was stationed in different places in the world, but the family always returned to Forbes, N.D. as a home base. He graduated from Forbes High School in 1977, valedictorian. He attended college at North Dakota State University in Fargo, receiving a Bachelor and Master of Science in Electrical Engineering which included many courses in Physics.
In Rochester, he worked as an engineer for Pemstar for many years continuing his love for designing and building technology products. His service to the community involved volunteer work for organizations like the skating rink, and local churches, helping them with his technology skills.
He is survived by his mother, Ruth Stevens of Redfield; and brothers, Jonathan of Oskaloosa, Iowa, and Eric of Aberdeen.
He was preceded in death by father; and sister, Ramona.
Arrangements have been entrusted to and are pending with Hyke Funeral Home of Redfield.
