Fun time at the Beef Bucks Golf Classic

BRANDON — The 15th annual Beef Bucks Golf Classic was held Aug. 18 at the Brandon Golf Course, with nearly 200 golfers participating and 50 sponsors to raise funds for the nonprofit Beef Bucks programs and scholarships.
The day was dedicated to past Beef Bucks board of directors,  Delina Nagel and John Stiefvater. Special guest was “Andy Armadillo” of Texas Roadhouse Steakhouse in Sioux Falls.
The line-up of golfers ranged from corporate teams to farmers and ranchers enjoying a beautiful day.  
Fenske Cattle Company sponsored a poker-run with the winning hand going to Chris Bruns of CorTrust Bank.  Interlake Sports Center of Madison provided transportation on the course for non-golfer participants.

After a day of golf, the participants were fed a steak supper, compliments of National Beef, followed by a live auction with auctioneer Jim Woster, featuring items from Henry Rifle, John Deere Company, Glacial Lakes Distillery, Minnesota Twins, Minnesota Vikings, Crown Royal and more.

• Championship Flight: Nelson Insurance, Lake Preston; second – Moller Farms, Mitchell; third – First Dakota National Bank, Vermillion
• First Flight: Prostrollo Auto Mall, Madison; second – Wrangler (Haegle’s West), Sioux Falls; third – Todd and Kari Olinger Farm, Woonsocket
• Second Flight: Fareway Foods, Sioux Falls; second – American Angus Hall of Fame (Skyberg Team), Smithville, MO; third – Hillman, Sioux Falls
• Third Flight: Country Vet Natural Pet Foods (SE Farmers Elevator), Beresford; second – Team Montross, De Smet; third – First National Bank in Sioux Falls.
