Gary Timm, age 68, of Wolsey, passed away  Saturday, August 10, 2019 in Black Hawk. His funeral will be 1:30 p.m. on Friday, August 23, at First United Methodist Church in Huron with burial in Riverside Cemetery. Visitation with family present will be from 5-7 p.m. Thursday, August 22, at Welter Funeral Home, or one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Gary Timm was born June 21, 1951 in Huron, to Floyd and Mildred (Weber) Timm. Growing up he lived in Huron, California, and Alpena. He attended school in Alpena and Wolsey, and he graduated from Wolsey High School.
Gary married Joyce A. Clark on June 15, 1973 at First United Methodist Church in Huron. The couple made their home on the farm near Wolsey where they raised five children and Gary farmed for his entire life.
Gary was light-hearted and known to not throw anything away. He was a collector of everything at the farm. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, especially fishing trips to Alaska and Canada. He loved spending time with his family. His grandchildren and great-grandchildren were always his priority. He was a member of the Wolsey Jaycees and the Wolsey School Board. He was a longtime dairyman, farmer, trucker, and custom harvester. He was the proud owner of Shooters Saloon for the past 11 years.
Grateful for having shared in Gary’s life are his five children, Bill (Jenny Getscher) of Wolsey, Kristi Timm of Wolsey, Randy (Tara Hochhalter) Timm of Wolsey, Jeremy (Brandy) Timm of Wolsey, Ricky (Jamie Salisbury) of Wolsey; 17 grandchildren, Mychaela (Nate), William, Alison (Justin), Jerad (Stephne), Shanlee (Oleg), Cassidy, McKenzie, Cooper, Haizley, Alexis, Grant, Millie, Shelby, Alex, Ben, Leah, and Irelyn; great-grandchildren, Dominic, Austin, Rylin, Brayden and Liam; special friend, Julia Salisbury and family Joe (Jennifer Jungemann) Salisbury and Landon  of Wolsey; three sisters, Vickie (Lloyd) Meyer of Huron, Cindy (Tom) Borkowski of Huron, and Kathie (Howard) Bragg of Madison, Minn.; and several nieces and nephews.
 Gary was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Joyce in 2013; and one grandchild, Angel Timm.
