HURON — Genevieve Quiram, 89, of Huron, passed away Thursday, November 23, 2017, at the Huron Regional Medical Center.
Her funeral service will be 2 p.m.,  Monday, November 27, at Mount Calvary Lutheran Church. Burial will be in Restlawn Memory Gardens Cemetery. Visitation is today from 1 to 8 p.m. at Kuhler Funeral Home, with her family present from 5 to 7 p.m. this evening, and a prayer service at 7 p.m. The family will gather at the home of Judy Henson at 1059 Arizona Avenue Southwest in Huron.
Genevieve Arlene Hendricks was born April 11, 1928, at Wessington Springs to Harry and Carrie (Janssen) Hendricks. She graduated from high school at Wessington Springs. She received her teachers certificate from General Beadle at Madison and taught at a rural school near Wessington for one year. She was united in marriage to Emil W. Quiram December 21, 1946.
She is survived by her children, Geneva (Bill) Goss of Salem, Billy (Carolyn) Quiram of Huron, Judy (Danny) Henson of Huron, and James (Twila) Quiram of Wolsey; nine grandchildren, Bradley (Gina) Henson, Bobby Henson, James Quiram, Ryan (Bonnie) Quiram, Shawn Quiram, Chastity (Chris) Beals, Zack Quiram, Chad Volkers, and Kim (Jason) Tyrrell; twenty-one great-grandchildren, plus one on the way; and three great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Emil; siblings, George Hendricks, and Ruth Monroe; and one granddaughter, Brenda Petersen.
