For a limited time only, women can purchase S.D. Women’s Expo general admission tickets for just $5, which is half off the $10 general admission ticket price.
Prostrollo Motor Sales in Huron is offering the special deal to the first 100 women to stop by the dealership.
The S.D. Women’s Expo, an annual event designed to provide a day of pampering and fun for women, will be held Saturday, Oct. 14, at a brand new location — in the Nordby 4-H Exhibit Hall on the S.D. State Fairgrounds. Also new is a Princess Party for little girls age 4 and older.
Moms, grandmas and aunts can enjoy a little “me time” while their little princesses join their friends and enjoy crafts, dancing, princess photos, lunch and a Princess Parade.
This year’s theme, “Rise Above and Create Your Story,” features keynote presentations from individuals who have faced and overcome personal challenges.
• Huron native Ted Stamp will share his inspiring story of overcoming a paralyzing spinal cord injury, which surprisingly turned him onto a road less travelled.
• Karen refugee Lah MayPaw Soe will recount her journey from her war-torn homeland in Burma to leading the Karen immigrants in making Huron their home.
The survivors will share their stories in a panel format moderated by KSFY’s Courtney Collen, once in the morning and again in the afternoon. Following each presentation, Charlotte Henley will offer a vision board session to help women dream and create their own future story.
Throughout the day, women are invited to pamper themselves with a manicure, pedicure or massage in the day spa. They can take a break in the relaxation area while sipping a glass of wine or beer. Ladies will also enjoy a little “retail therapy” as they stroll through the exhibit hall filled with merchandise from a wide variety of vendors. Attendees will also enjoy learning important information to help keep themselves and their families healthy.
General admission tickets to the Expo are $10 or $5 for a limited time at Prostrollo Motors. VIP Silver tickets are $20 and include express registration, special lunch pick-up and seating and a Pampering Perks card for special gifts.
Princess Party tickets are $15 and do require the purchase of a general admission or VIP ticket.
