The Huron Area Arts Council is once again hosting its Christmas Tree decorating contest, in the lobby area of the Huron Event Center. The trees, which are decorated by local groups and organizations, will be on display through the holidays and everyone is encouraged to visit and admire the thought and effort that went into the beautiful displays. Members of the Arts Council will be choosing winners in different categories, as well as an overall winner later this month. Watch for pictures of the winning trees to be published in The Plainsman. Until then, take a few moments when you are in the neighborhood and soak up a little bit of holiday spirit as you wander through the trees.
