Gladys Fagerhaug, 97, of Wessington Springs

WESSINGTON SPRINGS  — Gladys Mildred Fagerhaug, 97, of Wessington Springs, passed away Thursday, July 5, 2018, at the Weskota Manor.  
Funeral service will be 11 a.m., Tuesday July 10, at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church. Burial will be in Salem Lutheran Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the church with a prayer service at 7 p.m.
Gladys Fagerhaug was born June 15, 1921, in Beadle County to Charley and Kari (Vognild) Bergeleen. She graduated from Wessington Springs High School in 1940. She received a two year teaching certificate from Augustana College.  She was united in marriage to Kenneth Fagerhaug March 11, 1945. They had four sons. In 1970, she received her Bachelor of Science degree in education from Huron College and taught school for 30 years. After 38 years of living on the farm, the couple moved to Wessington Springs.
She is survived by her son, Lennis (Peggy) of Wessington Springs; two daughters-in-law, Brenda Fagerhaug, and Linda Cosby both of Wessington Springs; eight grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews that were very special to her.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth; sons, Allen, Kyle, and infant baby, Luane; her parents; five brothers; and six sisters-in-law.
