REDFIELD — Glenister K. Rabuck, 88, of Redfield, passed away Saturday, March 17, 2018, at Community Memorial Hospital in Redfield.
His funeral service will be 2 p.m., today at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Redfield. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery at Redfield. There will be a reception at the church following the interment.
Glenister Kenneth Rabuck was born November 5, 1929, in Redfield, to Kenneth and Mildred (Lentz) Rabuck. He attended school in Redfield and Cresbard, graduating in 1947, from Redfield High School.
He was united in marriage to Maybelle Aslesen March 7, 1953. He was employed by Northwestern Public Service for 42 years. He was Director of Consumer Services for Public Service in Webster when he retired. The couple owned and operated the Redfield Dairy Queen for six years. They also had part ownership in James Valley Nursing Home and Lakeside Assisted Living.
He was a member of Our Savior’s Lutheran Church, the Redfield Jaycees, the Lion’s Club, the Redfield Chamber of Commerce and Redfield Economic Development Industrial Park.
He is survived by his wife of 65 years; children, Steven (Linda) Rabuck of Sioux Falls, and Dawn (Kerry) Baird of Redfield; four
grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Hyke Funeral Home.
