FREMONT, Neb. — Grace D. Rediger, 95, of Fremont, Neb., passed away Thursday, July 19, 2018, at Nye Pointe.
A graveside service will be 10:30 a.m., Wednesday July 25, in the G.A.R. Cemetery at Miller. A luncheon will follow at the St. Lawrence Community Church in St. Lawrence.
Grace was born August 24, 1922, in Milford, Neb. to Edward and Alice (Schweitzer) Saltzman. She was united in marriage to Earl Rediger September 26, 1941. The couple lived in Miller until 1960, when they moved to Highmore. She then moved to Pierre in 2001, and to Fremont, Neb. in 2012.
Grace is survived by her children, Eugene Rediger of Kimberling City, Mo., Lennice (Dick) Longstein of Fremont, Neb., Leon Rediger of Post Falls, Idaho, Earlene Rediger of Colorado Springs, Colo.; sisters, Erna and Detta Saltzman of Hesston, Kan., Lila Osborne of Wichita, Kan., sister-in-law, Leona Saltzman of Seward, Neb.; seven grandchildren, three stepgrandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Earl; parents; brothers, Glen (Donna) Saltzman, Clinton (Doris) Saltzman, Sterling (Ina) Saltzman, and Edward Saltzman; daughter-in-laws, Glenda Rediger, and Pamela Rediger; son-in-law, Fred Burkey; and brother-in-law, Conrad Osborne.
