HURON — Shear Perfection, Huron’s newest full-service hair salon, will hold its grand opening early next month, according to owner Lisa Hohn. The new salon is located at 147 Dakota Avenue South in downtown Huron, just two doors down from Office Peeps.
The grand opening event will be from 4 to 5:30 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 7, with Mayor Paul Awyland in attendance for the ribbon-cutting ceremony. Complimentary hors d’oeuvres and beverages will be served, plus guests can participate in drawings for lotion, manicures, shellac nails, and more, which are offered at Shear Perfection.
Lisa Hohn and her associate, Jaime Baysinger, who will be joining the salon when it opens, have 17 years of combined experience between them. Both are extremely passionate about the service and customer satisfaction they provide.
“Our goal is to help our clients achieve the look they want … to just look beautiful”  Baysinger said.

Hohn and Baysinger have re-entered the beauty scene after taking a couple of years off and both expressed their desire to get back to doing what they love. “I think what I missed the most in those two years were the people,” Hohn said, “it’s not just about helping people look their best, it’s about building relationships and friendships.”
Shear Perfection is a family salon that offers services that include haircuts, color, perms, manicures, shellac and gel nails, pedicures and facial waxing. Plus they offer a Monday special - $10 haircuts.
The salon is open Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. with evening appointments available. Saturdays are by appointment only. Call Lisa or Jaime to schedule an appointment at 352-1496.
Shear Perfection can be found on Facebook.
