WATERTOWN — Gurine E. Bonen, 74, of Watertown, passed away Thursday, November 2, 2017, at her home surrounded by her family.
A Funeral Mass will be 11 a.m., Tuesday, November 7, at Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church in Watertown. Visitation will be at Crawford-Osthus Funeral Chapel in Watertown Monday from 5 to 7 p.m. with a Scripture Wake Service at 6:30 p.m. Visitation will also be prior to the service at the church on Tuesday. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery at Watertown.
Gurine Elizabeth Goetz was born November 16, 1942, in Brown County to Adeline (Sahli) and Valentine Goetz. She graduated from high school at Roscoe. She was united in marriage to Richard “Rich” Ronald Bonen October 24, 1964. She was a member of Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church in Watertown. She was a trained beautician, seamstress, and worked at Shopko as a shipping/ retail clerk for 20 years.
She is survived by her husband; children, Arlyn (Sheila) Bonen of Huron, Shad Bonen of Watertown, Lisa (Scott) Norby of Brooklyn Park, Minn.; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and brother, Val (Leota) Goetz of Aberdeen.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and sisters, Catherine (Bill) Johnson, and YaVonne (Merle) Larson.
