MILLER — The James Valley Christian Lady Vikings exploded to a 41-4 lead at the half and coasted home with a 66-12 win over the Sunshine Bible Academy Crusaders in 281 Conference girls’ basketball Tuesday night.
Karilyn Wieting drilled 16 of her 19 shots en route to a 35-point performance. Brenna Held had five rebounds to pace the Lady Vikes.
Ruthe Lopez had four points and six rebounds to lead SBA.
The Crusaders, now 0-4 on the season, will travel to Wessington Springs tonight, while JVC, which improved to 2-4, will host Wolsey-Wessington.

HIGHMORE — The Highmore-Harrold Pirates started quickly Tuesday night, opening and early lead and easing their way to a 51-19 non-conference girls’ basketball win over the Stanley County Lady Buffaloes.
Oakley Jandreau scored 16 points to pace the Pirates, who improve to 4-2 with the win. Letha Jessen added nine points and Haley Husted contributed nine rebounds for Highmore-Harrold.
The Pirates host Sully Buttes Friday night. No further stats were available from the game.

MILLER — The Wolsey-Wessington Warbirds remained unbeaten at 5-0 Tuesday night, as they defeated the Miller Rustlers 67-43 in Central Dakota Conference boys’ basketball action.
The Warbirds put three players in double figures, led by Payson Gohn’s 16-point effort. Tristan Abbott added 14 and Brevan Hooks chalked up 12.
Spencer Fernholz led all scorers with 19 points for the Rustlers, who remain in search of their first win on the season. Trevor Werdel added 11 points for Miller.
The Rustlers, now 0-5, travel to Mobridge-Pollock tonight, while Wolsey-Wessington will be at James Valley Christian, also tonight.

MILLER — The Sunshine Bible Crusaders opened a double-digit lead in the first half, and made it stand up Tuesday night, for a 58-48 win over the James Valley Christian Vikings in 281 Conference boys’ basketball action.
Jade Burma had 19 points and added 19 rebounds to lead the Crusaders, who improve to 1-3 with the win. EJ Big Eagle chucked in 13 points and Nolan Trebwasser added 12. Daniel Kegbeh claimed 11 boards for SBA.
Landon Wallman came off the Vikings’ bench to score 15 points and Zach Kleinsasser tacked on 12 for JVC, which falls to 0-4 with the loss. Samuel Pichura claimed eight rebounds.
JVC hosts Wolsey-Wessington tonight, while SBA is on the road at Wessington Springs.

REDFIELD — The Tiospa Zina Wambdi led at all the quarter stops Tuesday night, powering their way to a 66-55 win over the Redfield Pheasants in non-conference boys’ basketball.
Caleb White had 19 points and six rebounds for the Wambdi, who improved to 5-1 with the win. Peyton Halseide added 17 and Jamison Pratt chipped in 11.
Jaxson Frankenstein scored 22 points and had 10 rebounds, both game-high totals, to pace the Pheasants. Austin Haider scored 12 points and Isaac Suchor tacked on 11 for Redfield, which fell to 1-2 with the loss.
Redfield is back in action Friday night, when it hosts Aberdeen Roncalli.

WESSINGTON SPRINGS — The Wessington Springs Spartans sprinted to a 30-6 lead after the first quarter and never slowed down Tuesday night, steamrolling the Colome Cowboys 78-22 in boys’ basketball action.
The Spartans improved to 4-1 on the season, behind 14 points from Jacob Messmer, while Tyler Kole scored 13 and Mason Schelske chipped in 11 points and had 10 rebounds.
For Colome, now 1-4, Brayden Seegers had six points and Rhet Bertram had four rebounds.
Wessington Springs is back in action tonight when the Spartans host Sunshine Bible Academy.
