YALE — Heather Lynn Skinner, 29, of Yale, formerly of Huron, passed away Friday, June 22, 2018, at her residence in Yale.
Her funeral service will be 2 p.m., Monday, July 2, at the Welter Funeral Home of Huron with burial in the Riverside Cemetery at Huron. Visitation with family present, will be from 12 p.m. until the time of the service on Monday.
Heather Lynn Skinner was born December 9, 1988, in North Platte, Neb. to Gregory Skinner Sr. and Lynnett Erickson-Gross. She attended Huron High School and received her GED. She worked as a waitress at Ida May’s, a desk clerk at the Crossroads, and as an inspector at LSI.
She was always willing to lend a helping hand and her door was always open to those who needed help. She loved her kids, they were the center of her life.
She is survived by her children, Jaiden, Jace, and Journey Skinner; mother, Lynnett (Bill) Gross of Huron; father, Gregory (friend, Deb) Skinner Sr. of North Platte, Neb.; brothers, David Erickson of Calif., and Gregory Skinner Jr. of Sioux Falls; several stepbrothers; niece, Jorey Skinner; nephew, Erik Skinner; as well as several aunts and uncles.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Shirley and Herman Reineke, Marlene and Ivan Koch, Marvin Skinner, and Andrew Erickson; and aunt, Lurean McKenna.
