WESSINGTON SPRINGS — Helen Hindman, 101, of Wessington Springs, passed away Tuesday, July 9, 2019, at Avera Weskota Hospital in Wessington Springs.
Her funeral service will be 10:30 a.m.,Saturday, July 13, at Mount Calvary Lutheran Church in Huron with burial in Riverside Cemetery. Visitation with the family present, will be 5 to 7 p.m. with a prayer service at 6:30 p.m. Friday at Welter Funeral Home, or one hour prior to the service at the church.
Helen Lela was born November 4, 1917, in Wolsey to Fred and Martha (Stielow) Andresen. She attended school in Wolsey and Huron. She was united in marriage to Ralph Hindman in April 1936.
She was survived by daughters, Ruth (Bobby) Jensen of Alpena, and Nancy (Lloyd) Walters of Fruita, Colo.; eight grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; 29 great-great-grandchildren; and one great-great-great-granddaughter.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph; son, Fred; granddaughter, Vicki Jensen; great-granddaughter, Stephanie Jensen; and brother, Martin.
