Hitchcock-Tulare FFA advances 22 members to State LDEs

On Nov. 10 and Nov. 17, the Hitchcock-Tulare FFA Chapter attended the District 6 Leadership Development Events (LDEs) in Miller.

Through LDEs, FFA members develop critical thinking skills and use those skills to make effective decisions. LDEs promote teamwork and foster communication abilities.

From Hitchcock-Tulare FFA, four individual members and four teams will advance to FFA State Leadership. In addition, the chapter tied for first in the Chapter Sweepstakes, which is measured by individual and team event placings . State FFA LDEs will be held virtually over the course of December and January.

Results include:
• Ag Communications – 1st place
Team Members: Caden Bottum, Jed Waldner, Kyle Hamilton, Zach Gilbert

• Ag Issues – 2nd place
Team Members: Cole Schroeder, TJ Salmen, Landon Puffer, Mason Bottum, Jessica Godfrey, and Caitlin Woodward

• Parliamentary Procedure – 2nd place
Team Members: Ashley Masat, Kyle Hamilton, Jed Waldner, Andy Bottum, Danielle Nowell, and Caden Bottum

• Conduct of Chapter Meetings – 2nd Place
Team Members: Harlee Nielson, Jackson Maynard, Weston Wagner, Brendan Nowell, Kaleb Watson, Presley Binger, and Malachi Wright

• Ag Broadcasting: Cole Schroeder – 3rd; Mason Bottum – 4th

• Creed Speaking: Brendan Nowell – 1st; Malachi Wright – 6th

• Employment Skills: Carter Binger – 3rd; Briar Kloss – 7th

• Extemporaneous Speaking: Kordel Kohnen – 3rd; Silas Harford – 4th

• Public Speaking: Raymond Cole – 6th

Ag Communications, Ag Issues, Parliamentary Procedure, Conduct of Chapter Meetings, Cole Schroeder (Ag Broadcasting), Brendan Nowell (Creed), Carter Binger (Employment Skills), and Kordel Kohnen (Extemporaneous Speaking) will advance on to State LDEs.
