MITCHELL – The Big 4 middle school track meet was held Friday at Joe Quintal Field in Mitchell.

Watertown swept the 8th grade boys’ and girls’ team titles by a significant amount, with Brookings finishing second in both categories.

Brookings won the 7th grade girls over Watertown but finished second in the 7th grade boys’ division to Mitchell.

Anderson Porisch won three titles for Huron on the day, winning the 800-meter run, discus and high jump among 8th graders..

Yo Yo and Teegan Lien won the 7th grade and 8th grade 110 hurdles, respectively, and Aiden Hein leapt 16 feet, 6.5 inches to win the 8th grade long jump.

Among boys’ relays, Huron took home a victory in the 7th grade 4x200 relay and the 8th grade medley relay.

Claire Davis won the shot put and Allyson Trujillo-Cordove took medal honors in the long jump among 7th grade girls.

The 7th grade 4x200 relay team broke the tape for Huron.
