SISSETON — The Clark-Willow Lake Cyclones put three girls in double figures Tuesday night, emerging with a 55-38 win over the Sisseton Redmen in basketball action.
Charity Kabwe scored 15 points and grabbed eight rebounds to pace the Cyclones, who improve to 5-3 with the win. Both Jada Burke and Alicia Vig added 13 points and Olivia Sass contributed seven rebounds.
Lexus Red Thunder scored 11 points and had nine rebounds for Sisseton, which falls to 5-3.
C-WL travels to Milbank tonight.

TULARE — The Hitchcock-Tulare Lady Patriots raced to a double digit lead after the first quarter and never lifted the gas pedal, cruising to a 66-47 win over the Warner Monarchs in non-conference girls’ basketball action Tuesday night.
Elizabeth Salmen scored 25 points for the Lady Pats, while Dannyn Petersen added 13 and claimed seven rebounds as Hitchcock-Tulare pushed its record to 5-3 heading to Friday’s opening round of the 281 Conference Tournament, where it will face Wessington Springs in the 8 p.m. game in Wolsey.
Summer Scepaniak scored 11 points and had four rebounds for Warner, which falls to 3-5 with the loss.

MILLER — The Lower Brule Lady Sioux scored all the points they would need in the first half Tuesday night, as they eased into a 68-23 win over the Sunshine Bible Academy Crusaders in non-conference girls’ basketball.
Justina Brouse-Grassrope scored 20 points and Mykenzie Rouillard had six rebounds to pace the Lady Sioux, who improve to 5-3 on the season.
SBA got 14 points and 12 rebounds from Bethany Konechne. The Crusaders remain winless at 0-7, as they enter the 281 Conference Tournament Friday night, where they will face top-seeded Highmore-Harrold in the first round at 3:30 p.m.

WOLSEY — The Wolsey-Wessington Warbirds pushed their season record to 7-0 Tuesday night, as they held off a determined Iroquois-Doland Chiefs squad for a 58-49 win in 281 Conference boys’ basketball action.
Brevan Hooks led a trio of Warbirds in double figures with 17 points. Payson Gohn added 13 and Ethan Nelson chipped in 10 for Wolsey-Wessington.
Iroquois-Doland was led by Keistan Dubro’s 15 points, while Brandon Decker added nine. The Chiefs fall to 2-3 with the loss.
Iroquois-Doland opens the 281 Conference Tournament at 2:30 p.m. Saturday against Sunshine Bible Academy in Wolsey, while the Warbirds open as the tournament’s top seed on Saturday, with a 1 p.m. matchup against Hitchcock-Tulare.

HOWARD — The second-ranked De Smet Bulldogs went on the road Tuesday night, overcoming a first quarter deficit to hand the Howard Tigers their first loss of the year, 52-48, in non-conference boys’ basketball action.
Kalen Garry scored 23 points and had 12 rebounds as the Bulldogs improve to 6-1 on the season. Tory Holland added 11 points and Ethan McCune contributed 10 rebounds to the De Smet effort.
Jake Brooks scored 24 points and Sam Aslesen had nine boards to pace Howard, which falls to 7-1 with the loss.
De Smet travels to Colman-Egan on Friday.

PLANKINTON — The Mount Vernon-Plankinton Titans won each quarter Tuesday night, en route to a 71-44 win over the Wessington Springs Spartans in non-conference boys’ basketball action. The Titans improve to 3-6 with the wins, while the Spartans fall to 5-3.
Kolby Kayser scored 24 points, Reed Rus added 12 and a trio of MV-P players each had five rebounds to lead the Titans to the win.
Wessington Springs was led by Pablo Garcia’s 12 points, while both Mason Schelske and Gerritt Brandenburg had nine and Schelske added 10 rebounds.
Wessington Springs opens the 281 Conference Tournament Saturday against Highmore-Harrold  in a 5:30 p.m. game in Wolsey.

MILLER — The Lower Brule Sioux jumped out early and then held on to defeat the Sunshine Bible Academy Crusaders 69-58 in non-conference boys’ basketball action Tuesday night.
Brian LaRoche, Jr., scored 24 points and Baptiste Pourier added 23 as the the Sioux improved to 4-6 on the season. Scott Obago, Jr., claimed eight rebounds for Lower Brule.
Sunshine Bible was led by Jade Burma’s 20-point, nine-rebound effort, while EJ Big Eagle added 14 points and Nolan Triebwasser chipped in 13 for the Crusaders. Daniel Kegbeh also had nine rebounds for SBA.
SBA will open the 281 Conference Tournament at 2:30 p.m. Saturday against Iroquois-Doland in Wolsey.

TULARE — The Warner Monarchs outscored the Hitchcock-Tulare Patriots 14-4 in the fourth quarter to pull away and win a 38-23 defensive struggle Tuesday night in non-conference boys’ basketball action.
Ben Fischbach scored 13 points and Landon Leidhold added 11 for Warner, as the Monarchs improve to 5-1 on the season.
For the Patriots, who remain winless at 0-8, Titus Waldner and Gabe Clark each scored five points.
H-T will play Wolsey-Wessington in the opening round of the 281 Conference Tournament Saturday in Wolsey, with a 1 p.m. tip off.

MILLER — The Redfield Pheasants put the Miller Rustlers in a hole early and never let them up Tuesday night, racing to a 75-52 win in non-conference boys’ basketball action.
Four players dented double figures for the Pheasants, who improve to 3-2 with the win, led by Jaxson Frankenstein’s 22 points. Kelton Haider added 20 to the total, while both Isaac Suchor and Leyton Rohlfs chalked up 10 points.
For Miller, now winless at 0-7, Spencer Fernholz tallied a game-high 23 points, while Tyler Schumacher added 14.
Redfield hosts Deuel tonight, while Miller travels to Sully Buttes.
