In celebration of new life and anticipation of spring weather, Huron Regional Medical Center (HRMC) is hosting its 13th annual Cutest Baby contest during March and April, according to Kim Rieger, VP-marketing and communications for HRMC.
During the month of March, parents and grandparents were encouraged to enter a picture of their precious baby on Facebook. The nominee needed to live in HRMC’s seven-county service area and be under the age of 12 months as of the contest start date of March 1, 2021.
Now in April, the contest features daily voting on Facebook.
“Of course, all babies are cute — this contest gives us a chance to brighten each day by scrolling through all of the 36 entries once every 24 hours,” explained Rieger. “To add to the mystery and excitement, vote totals will not be visible on Facebook. So, parents are encouraged to promote daily voting to family and friends.”
Winners will be chosen via a People’s Choice vote. The top vote getter will win the grand prize of a $100 certificate to a photo studio in Huron, baby gear valued at $100, commemorative onesie and blanket and a starring role in an upcoming HRMC television commercial. The runner-up winner will receive a commemorative plaque and baby gear valued at $50.
